At Accurate Building Maintenance, our crew members are the backbone of our team and the heartbeat of our purpose: inspiring personal and professional growth while creating clean, healthy, safe communities. They take care of our customers, so we take care of them like family—the best kind! We are so grateful for all they do each day and love to see them grow and succeed.
Our monthly Janitorial Employee Spotlight series features one of our amazing team members, showcasing what it’s like to work in the cleaning industry at Accurate, where we are purpose driven and #KeepItFun.
This month, we're turning the spotlight on Rosa Rodas, who has been part of the Accurate team for just over a year and has already made an unmistakable impact. Rosa serves as a day porter at our largest corporate office partner, where her outstanding work ethic and dedication to excellence are deeply felt and highly valued. Known for the quality of her work, the effort she brings every day, and the genuine way she cares for the people and spaces around her, Rosa consistently sets a high standard for what it means to serve with pride and purpose.
She was nominated for these qualities, along with her outstanding professionalism and work ethic—attributes echoed again and again by leadership, teammates, and customers. As our Customer Service manager shared:

These same qualities extend well beyond the workday. Rosa values peace, quiet, and calm during her personal time, while treasuring weekends spent with her family and grandchildren. She credits much of her patience and strength to supporting her daughter through health challenges in recent years. Rosa approaches life with kindness and steadiness, finding genuine joy and fulfillment in serving those around her. Over time, she has become not only a valued Accurate team member, but a trusted and appreciated part of the customer’s own work family.

Rosa is assigned to one of the suites at one of our largest corporate office partners. The frequent recognition from the staff there led to Rosa being regularly featured on our #FanMail social media series. When Department Director Lisel W. learned that Rosa had been chosen as our Employee Spotlight winner this month, she shared the news with her colleagues in the building—eight of whom made time to send additional feedback on Rosa to be included in this article.
"Rosa does an amazing job taking care of the building. She is always flat-out hustling nonstop all day. Every time I see her, she has something in her hand and is wiping, sweeping, mopping, or cleaning something. She is also always cleaning something that is easily overlooked, such as under the refrigerators, the top of arches, and anything that is not easily visible or easy to reach. She is outstanding! Most recently, Dee received a message from Lisel commending Rosa for the outstanding job she did cleaning the building windows. "She successfully removed heavy calcification from the windows—an issue that professional window cleaners were previously unable to resolve, further demonstrating her exceptional attention to detail, persistence, and pride in her work," Dee said.
"Rosa [cleaned the windows] on her own volition. She got rid of all of them, all the spots. They look beautiful! She is an incredible worker and example of your company and the quality of care your team members provide. She goes above and beyond every day. WHAT ROSA HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE JANITORIAL INDUSTRY AND WORKING AT ACCURATE
What is your WHY for being a cleaning industry professional? In other words, what brings you to work each day at this job, besides needing to earn a paycheck? I enjoy seeing satisfied clients. Knowing that my work improves their environment and gives them peace of mind pushes me to always give my best.
Describe your Accurate teammates in three words. Friendly, cheerful, and united.
What keeps you motivated at work? I am motivated by feeling that my time is well spent and that my work has a purpose and a positive impact.
Which of Accurate's core values is your favorite or most important to you, and why? (We Keep Our Word, Opportunity, Respect, Keep it Fun, and Solutions) Respect and Opportunity. The company see values in us as their employees and in our work quality. Our employment status is not based on race, creed, color, religion, or political standard. We are valued and respected for our efforts, the work we put forth, and as human beings.
What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most? I enjoy every part of my job. I especially love cleaning windows because seeing the building clean and the clients happy makes me feel very good and fills my heart with joy.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about applying to the company? My advice would be to apply. It is a company that treats you well, with respect, gives you the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally, and is very appreciative.
What advice would you give to new employees just joining the company? My advice to new employees is to work hard and value the opportunity they are being given. Where you start does not define how far you can go; everything depends on your effort and attitude.
What is one thing you wish people knew about your job? I wish people knew that I put a lot of effort into my work, that everything I do comes from the heart, and that it reflects who I am as a person.
What makes you feel proud and satisfied about your work? It fills me with pride and satisfaction to see the clients’ smiles and feel their appreciation through their gestures, details, and recognition, because it confirms that my work makes a difference.
What would you do as a career if you were not doing this job? If I were not doing this job, I would work as a nanny. I love caring for children because they are very fun, learn quickly, trust you, show affection, and are always eager to learn.
What is your favorite employee benefit and why? My favorite work benefit is working Monday through Friday, because it allows me to have weekends off to spend time with my family and my grandchildren.
WHAT ROSA SHARED ABOUT HERSELF
How do you define success? For me, success means maintaining a positive attitude in everything you do and in every challenge you face.
What is something people might not know about you? What might surprise people is that I am a reserved person, of few words, who enjoys peace, quiet, and solitude.
What is the most important lesson you have learned in the last three years? The most important lesson I have learned in the last three years is to be patient. Patience is a virtue, and everything comes in its own time.
What job did you want when you were a child? As a child, I dreamed of being a nurse because that profession always caught my attention and I felt great admiration for those who practice it.
What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome in your life so far? One of the biggest challenges in my life has been supporting my daughter through her health journey. It has been a difficult experience, but it has also taught me strength, patience, and unconditional love.

What advice would you give your younger self? To live more calmly and learn to enjoy life’s moments.
What is one food you wish had zero calories? Spaghetti with sauce. I love it for its flavor.
What was your first job? My first job was as a babysitter, where I was responsible for caring for three children.
What is one of your favorite traditions? My favorite tradition is Christmas, because it is a time to gather with family and friends, cook together, and share special moments while celebrating.
